Body wraps are a treatment with roots in Brazilian and Italian beauty tradition: long cotton bands soaked in an active solution are wound around the legs, stomach, hips or arms and left in place while the body does the work. We offer two versions, always combined with manual lymphatic drainage.
The thermo-reducing bands gradually heat the area and target localised fat and the appearance of cellulite. The saline draining bands, soaked in Epsom salt, work the other way, by osmosis: they draw out water held in the tissues for a water-reducing, sculpting action. Both treatments last 100 minutes and are carried out at Izzy Studio on Route des Creux in Verbier.
Who is it for?
For anyone who wants to refine their silhouette, regain light legs or work on specific areas: thighs, hips, stomach, arms. The draining bands suit water retention, heavy legs at the end of the day or after a long journey; the heat bands are for areas where the skin looks dimpled. Ideal ahead of summer, a wedding, or simply as a return to yourself after a Verbier winter. For drainage alone, without the wrap, see our 60-minute lymphatic drainage.
How the treatment goes
- Welcome and consultation We define the areas to work on and the goal together: drain, refine, firm. A few measurements may be taken to follow progress over the course.
- Preparing the skin A quick scrub or brisk friction stimulates local circulation and prepares the skin to take in the band solution.
- Applying the bands The cotton bands, soaked in the heat or Epsom salt solution, are wound firmly but without restricting circulation, from the bottom up. You then rest, covered and warm, while they work.
- Lymphatic drainage Once the bands are removed, the beautician performs manual lymphatic drainage in slow, rhythmic strokes to clear what the wrap has mobilised.
- Back to calm Moisturiser, a glass of water and advice for the next few days: drink more, go easy on salt, keep moving. Bring something loose to wear home.

- Refined silhouette

Good to know
Results are best as a course of 5 sessions, one a week. Drink well before and after, and avoid a heavy meal just before. The Studio is open Monday to Saturday with parking on site. A body scrub the day before helps the solution penetrate; the treatment is available as a gift card. Not recommended during pregnancy, with circulatory, heart or kidney conditions, or with wounds in the area. Please tell us about any ongoing treatment.
Frequently asked questions
Choose the saline draining bands if your priority is water retention, heavy legs or swelling. Choose the thermo-reducing bands if you are targeting specific areas where the skin looks dimpled. Over a course, the two can be alternated; the beautician advises you at the first session.
A single session already brings a feeling of lightness and smoother-feeling skin. For a visible, lasting result, we recommend a course of 5 sessions one week apart, then a maintenance session as needed.
You feel a warmth that builds gradually, sometimes with tingling, while the bands are on. That is the intended effect, and it stays comfortable. If it becomes too strong, say so: the bands are loosened or removed earlier.
The durations shown are the actual treatment time. Allow about ten extra minutes for the welcome and for changing.
