Waxing remains the simplest way to smooth skin for three to four weeks, with finer regrowth over successive sessions. At Izzy Studio we use a warm wax suited to sensitive skin: strip wax for larger areas, and peelable hot wax without strips for delicate zones such as the bikini line, underarms and face.
Women and men are equally welcome. For her: brows, lip, underarms, classic, Brazilian or Hollywood bikini, half or full legs, back. For him: chest, back, full beard, full intimate wax and legs. Appointments last 10 to 45 minutes depending on the area, at Izzy Studio on Route des Creux in Verbier.
Who is it for?
For anyone who wants smooth skin before a weekend away, the ski season or a holiday in the sun, and for the growing number of men who prefer wax to a razor for the back or chest. If your skin is very sensitive, tell us: we choose the wax accordingly. A body scrub a few days beforehand gives a more even result.
How the treatment goes
- Welcome and consultation We confirm the areas, check the skin (sunburn, irritation) and answer your questions, especially if this is your first time.
- Preparation The skin is cleansed and lightly powdered so the wax grips the hair rather than the skin.
- Waxing Warm wax is applied with the direction of growth and removed in one swift movement against it, in small sections. The skin is held taut to limit discomfort; the technique is quick and precise.
- Back to calm A soothing oil or lotion finishes the session, along with the 24-hour aftercare advice: no sauna, sun or intense exercise.

Good to know
Let the hair grow to 4 to 5 millimetres, about two weeks after shaving. Avoid sun, sauna and the hammam for 24 hours before and after. Several areas can be done in the same appointment. We do not wax sunburnt or irritated skin, or skin using retinoids; if in doubt, ask us.

The classic bikini tidies the edges of the bikini line. The Brazilian removes almost everything, leaving a thin strip or triangle; the Hollywood (californien) removes everything, including the back. The latter two take 30 minutes and cost CHF 35.
The first time stings a little, especially on the bikini line and underarms, then the sensation eases noticeably over the sessions as the hair gets finer. Peelable wax, a quick technique and taut skin make a real difference. Avoid booking just before your period, when skin is more sensitive.
