Izzy signature massage

The Izzy signature massage grew out of the practice of Izabelly and Henry, our two founders. It blends the long strokes of Swedish massage with deeper pressure and techniques Izabelly brought back from Brazil. The oils are warmed before every session, the movements are slow, and each part of the body gets the time it needs.

It is now the most requested treatment at both of our Verbier addresses. In 60 minutes your therapist covers the whole body, lingering where you ask; in 90 minutes there is room to go further on the back, legs or neck without rushing the rest. We also come to you, in your chalet or apartment, in Verbier and the surrounding villages.

Who is it for?

For those who find the classic massage a little too gentle and the sports massage a little too intense. For regulars who want a complete treatment without having to think about it. For short stays where one appointment has to count. The pressure is adjusted live: say a word and it changes. If you love warmth, the hot stone massage is a close cousin; for two, choose the duo massage at the Spa.

How the treatment goes

1. Welcome and consultation A few minutes to talk about your day, your tension and what you hope to get from the session. Your therapist chooses the oil and warms it while you settle in.
2. Deep work on back and neck The treatment opens on the back, with warm gliding strokes followed by slow, firm pressure along the spine, beneath the shoulder blades and into the trapezius. Forearms and elbows take over from the hands when an area resists.
3. Legs and feet The legs are worked from calves to thighs, with particular attention to the feet, so often forgotten yet so hard-working in the mountains.
4. Arms, shoulders and face Lying on your back, the massage continues over the arms, shoulders and chest, then finishes with the face and scalp at an ever slower pace.
5. Back to calm A few minutes of stillness, hands resting, so the body can absorb the treatment. You get up when you are ready.

Good to know

Offered at Izzy Spa and at Izzy Studio alike. For home visits the booked slot is 90 minutes to cover travel and setting up the table (CHF 190, Verbier and surroundings). The 90-minute version at the Spa pairs beautifully with the sauna and hammam beforehand. If you are pregnant, choose the prenatal massage at the Studio instead. Please tell us about any recent injury, fever or circulatory condition.
